Drag Out The Vote has created this privacy policy to explain how Drag Out The Vote (or “we”) will use information that we collect from you while you visit the Drag Out The Vote website, currently located at dragoutthevote.org (the “Site”), or while you use Vote.org tools that are embedded on our site. Drag Out The Vote may modify this policy from time to time, so we encourage you to check this page when revisiting the Site. 

How Drag Out The Vote uses your information

If you register to vote, check your registration status, order your absentee ballot, or sign up for election reminders through an embedded version of Vote.org’s tools on Drag Out The Vote’s site, any information you provide in doing so may be made available to both organizations. 

Drag Out The Vote will not sell any information to third-parties.

Personal information provided through use of our Vote.org tools will NOT be shared. Only high level numbers and statistics will be shared with partners, per our agreement with Vote.org.

After you electronically submit your voter registration application form to local or state election officials, it generally becomes a matter of public record from your state of residence.

Information provided via our Voter Pledge, Drag Ambassador Application and/or any other form on the Site, such as names, emails, etc, may be shared with our partners who share a similar mission with Drag Out The Vote. Any User Data provided to another party is solely for non-commercial purposes.

Opt-Out

Drag Out The Vote may ask you to give us contact information, including your name, address, email address, and telephone number. You may opt-out of receiving email messages from Drag Out The Vote by sending any email to info@dragoutthevote.org and asking that you not receive future email messages or by following the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.

By providing your mobile phone number on Drag Out The Vote’s website while using one of the Vote.org tools, you agree to receive recurring text messages from Vote.org and Drag Out The Vote at 22821 to the mobile phone number with which you enroll. You certify that your mobile number provided is true and accurate and that you are authorized to enroll the designated mobile number to receive such text messages. You acknowledge and agree that the text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system and that standard message and data rates apply. You may unsubscribe from text messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any text message you receive from Drag Out The Vote. For help, text “HELP” to any text message you receive from Drag Out The Vote. You consent that following such a request to unsubscribe, you may receive one final text message from Vote.org/ Drag Out The Vote confirming your request.

Donations and credit card information

When you contribute to Drag Out The Vote online, that information is used solely for processing your contribution; it is not maintained by Drag Out The Vote; and is never disclosed to anyone, for any other purpose other than for processing your contribution.

Security

Drag Out The Vote uses commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of all User Data.

Amendments and consent to this privacy policy

By using and/or visiting our Site, you understand and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Site or the Services.

Other sites

Drag Out The Vote’s Privacy Policy does not apply to ANY external links or any website not owned and operated by Drag Out The Vote. Third party sites will have their own policies which may be different from ours and we recommend that you check the privacy policy of each site that you visit.
